About

Me, hoping Shaq doesn\'t land on me and kill me Hi, I’m Max Simbron, a photographer based out of Phoenix AZ. This blog is my attempt to get my thoughts, ideas, and perspective out on the web in an organized manner.

In 2003, I got my first professional camera (Canon 10D, which I still own). I didn’t know too many photographers at first, and for the most part was self taught, and learned from reading through various sites. I was always thankful that so many people not only wrote some great information, but contacted me and helped me along the way. It is in that spirit that I am creating this site.

This site will be a collection of various ideas, perspectives, and articles on photography, that will be based on my personal experiences (both the successes and failures). My hope is that you read the articles and find them useful, and that they save you time, effort, and/or money

I was very lucky to have met so many great people so early in my photographic career, but that isn’t always the case. Photographers can be a very tight group, and early on, it may be difficult to approach someone for help. So I’ve put up a MeeboMe widget. When I sign into Meebo, you will see that I am online, and you can go ahead and contact me. You are given an anonymous IM name, so please edit that (at the bottom of the widget) or announce yourself when you IM me. I’m going to try to be there regularly, and hope that will encourage people to visit the site, to talk to me, and to ask questions, and offer comments. If I’m not around, you can still leave a message.

Thanks,

Max
