The Big Print Giveth

Another quick update for everyone. I got this note in my email from the folks at Adorama. Their online print shop, AdoramaPix, is offering 16×20 prints for 4.95. This is a great deal, and it gets even better. They offer this price for metallic prints as well. By comparison, MPix (also an excellent print shop) charges 19.99 for metallic 16×20, and White House Custom Colour charges 16.80 for a 16×20. Just click on the image to head on over to AdoramaPix.

And, if you look closely, the ad mentions prepaying. Lock in that price over 25 prints for 124.00, so you can still cash in on the savings long after the sale is over.

Of course, there are other factors to consider besides price. I love Millers lab (same place as MPix, but for businesses, while MPix is open to anyone), and their service and shipping time is superb. Still, a big metallic for five dollars is hard to beat. I would say that anyone considering the prepaid option should at least order one print up front, or a couple, and see how they like Adorama versus their current print shop.

If anyone has any experience with Adoramapix, please comment, I’d love to know more. I typically don’t print much of anything for myself (I’m more of a digital screen kinda guy), but if I do put in an order, I’ll report back.

    Nothing but wonderful prints from Adoramapix. And being in NY, you can submit and pickup. Might have to get in on this prepaid offer…

    I just wanted to say that I have used AdoramaPix a few times in the past. I also got about 10 16×20 prints last time on this same special. The quality of the Lusture and even the Metallic is very competitive with the other industry labs.

    Hi Max;

    Thank you for the heads up on the 16X20 deal. Also if you get the NAPP magazine or the PPmagazine there is a business in Tennessee which will print 18X24 posters for $2 plus shipping their quality is pretty good if you need to do large amounts of this size posters. Also I am also a Millers lab fan, but I found another lab who when it comes to undergrad and event photography printing they are also very competitive, in fact I used them for one school so far and they did a great job at the price of believe or not at $.99 a unit and $.55 half unit. the only trade off between this lab (www.UPILAB.com) and millers is the turn around time. Millet can get just about any job almost overnight to two days turn around where UPILAB takes double the time, so if you are not in a hurry this guys are great if not Millers is awesome too. Thank you Max again for the 16X20 deal.

    I have had around 3 or 4 prints from them using that special. The prints were excellent! Metallic prints were excellent as well.

    Very solid prints. No complaints at all
